கொடியேற்ற தத்துவம்:
கோயில்களில் பிரம்மோற்ஸவம் துவங்கும்போது, முதல் நாள் கொடியேற்றப்படும். எதற்காக கொடியேற்றுகிறார்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியுமா?
கொடிமரம் என்பது இறைவனாகிய சிவபெருமானைக் குறிக்கும். கொடிக்கயிறு சக்தியைக் குறிக்கும். உயரே செல்லும் கொடிச்சீலை உயிர்களைக் (மனிதர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட உயிரினங்கள்) குறிக்கும். மனிதர்களாகிய நாம் கடவுளை அடைவது என்பது எளிதான செயல் அல்ல. ஆனால், நம்மை அவரிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்க சக்திதேவி உதவுவாள். அவளிடம் போய் நாம் அழுதுவிட்டால் போதும். பிள்ளைகளின் கண்ணீரைத் தாய் பொறுக்கமாட்டாள். அவள் நம்மை இறைவனிடம் கொண்டு சேர்த்து விடுவாள்.
ஒரு வீட்டில், பிள்ளைகள் தங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது வேண்டுமென்றால், தந்தையிடம் போகமாட்டார்கள். அம்மாவிடம் சொல்லி, அதைக் கேட்டு பெற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள். அதே போன்றது தான் இறைவனை அடையும் நிலையும்!
என்னதான் நாம் இறைவனோடு ஒன்றியிருந்தாலும் அல்லது தியானத்தில் ஆழ்ந்திருந்தாலும், நம் மனம் அலைபாய்வது இயல்பு தான். அப்படி அலைபாயும் மனது எங்காவது சுற்றிவிட்டு, மீண்டும் இறைவனையே வந்து சேரும். இதைத்தான் "கொடித் தடை' என்பார்கள். கொடியேறியபிறகு வெளியூருக்குச் சென்றாலும் இரவுக்குள் ஊர் திரும்புவது வழக்கமாக உள்ளது.
சிவபெருமானை ஐந்தெழுத்து மந்திரமான "சிவாயநம' என்று சொல்லி வணங்குகிறோம். "சி' என்பது சிவபெருமானையும், "வ' என்பது அம்பாளையும், "ய' என்பது கொடியில் வரையப்பட்ட நந்திதேவரையும், "ந' என்பது கொடிச்சீலையையும், "ம' என்பது தர்ப்பைக்கயிறையும் குறிக்கும்.
கொடிமரத்தின் அடியில் தர்ப்பைக்கயிறு இருக்கும். இந்தக் கயிறை பாசத்துக்கு ஒப்பிடுவார்கள். மனைவி, மக்கள், உறவு, பொருட்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் மீது கொண்ட பாசம் தான் நம்மை இறைவனை அடையவிடாமல் தடுக்கிறது. இந்த பாசப்பிணைப்பில் இருந்து விடுபட்டு இறைவனை அடைய வேண்டும் என்பதால் தான் தர்ப்பையை கயிறுபோல் சுருட்டி கீழே வைத்திருப்பார்கள்.
ஏப்ரல் 26,2009, காலை 10.30 - 10.54 மணிக்குள் கொடியேற்றம் நடக்கிறது.
During Brahmotsavam in temples , the flag is hoisted on the first day. Do yo know its significance? The Dwaja stamba (Kodimaram ) denotes Lord Shiva. The rope (Kodi Kayaru) denotes Goddess Shakthidevi . The flag which is taken to the top denotes all living creatures including human beings . Its not easy to attain the feet of the Almighty. But goddess shakthidevi , helps us in reaching HIM. We jUST have to express our wish to HER. She will surely help us reaching the feet of the god. Just imagine...If we need anything ,the first person to approach is our mother.She gets it done for us from our father.The same way is for attaining the god's feet . We might be thinking about God.Or we might be in our meditation.Still our mind wanders. The wandering mind , will definitely come back to the thots about God. This is called as flag barrier (kodi thadai). Once the flag is hoisted in temple during the festival times , people who go out of station , should come back on the same night . That's is the reason , even now in villages during festival times people will not go out of stations. Lord shiva is worshipped by his five letter mantra "Shivayanama" . 'Shi " denotes Sivan , "Va " denotes Sakthi "Ya" denotes The Nandi deva in dwajastambha "Na" denotes the idols in dwaja stambha "ma" denotes the bundle of darbhai (grass) At the lower end of the dwaja stambha , a bundle of darbhai is tied . It is compared to " love and affection ". The Love and affection which we have for our Friends and family ,prevent us from reaching god. We have to break the barriers and raech God.That's the reason a bundle of darbhai is kept in the lower part of the dwajastambha.
